Children who raise the families in which someone is abusing alcoholic beverages, live with a sense of danger, suffering and learn specific ways of proceeding, which hinder their lives. They are often victims of mental and physical, and sometimes become the victims of sexual abuse. Many of the children is trying to maintain the confidentiality of drinking parents, ashamed, have a sense that they are worse, but try to protect the good name of the family, fear and emotional disturbances are associated with fear.

They are often victims of mental and physical, and sometimes become the victims of sexual abuse. Many of the children is trying to maintain the confidentiality of drinking parents, ashamed, have a sense that they are worse, but try to protect the good name of the family, fear and emotional disturbances are associated with fear. Crowd and hide their feelings, they feel alone, try at all costs to cope with his despair and helplessness, often taken for various diseases because of their resistance is depleted by the constant stress. He will learn that they can not rely on its parent, and no longer trust other people and the surrounding world seems to them a foreign and hostile. Some children take over the responsibility for family problems and assume the responsibilities of adults, is very trying to repair their mistakes and negligence, to please others. Not able to play. Some children try to adapt at all costs to the unusual and threatening family environment, absorb yourself in the destruction and chaos. Some children, despite their suffering, trying to be friendly and caring for others, are ready to sacrifice to put much effort into helping those who suffer and are lost. You do not have enough people respond to pain in alcoholic families, and are confronted with their defense. Too many adults do not realize how their behavior can be harmful to their children. Children from alcoholic families need help not only by protecting them from direct effects of alcohol abuse in the family.
